A therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. Our emotional and physical bodies are not separate, they communicate with one another all the time.
Trauma is not only stored as a memory in the brain, but is also stored in the tissues of the body. Energy cysts as therapists call them are areas of the body where trauma, old beliefs, negative emotions can be stored. If left untreated, they eventually present a s illness, pain etc...
when you present for a craniosacral therapy session, my awareness will be observant for picking up these energy cysts, and if during a session ,all the conditions are right for you the client, the subconscious mind will begin showing me that an emotional aspects is ready to be released. I become aware of this change as the craniosacral rhythm that I am tuned into stops abruptly. It is at this point that I use therapeutic dialogue with you. I will guide you to follow the sensations you are aware of in a certain area of the body, I may using your permission, direct a question directly to the body, we wait for the answer to pop into your awareness. This may feel odd at the beginning and I always explain it and guide you through the process. Some clients may not like to dialogue .I never push, we work at the pace the body sets, it is after all the guide in the whole process. Besides , dialogue, Imagery may also be part of the process. An eg. of this would be where I ask you to visualize yourself as a child and we check in with how the child is doing.
