Dysautonomia
Disorders of the autonomic nervous system, (ANS).
What is the ANS? the involuntary part of our nervous system. Examples are, heart rate, size of the pupils of the eyes, secretions withing the gastrointestinal system, contraction of involuntary muscles (heart muscle, respiratory muscles, muscles of the urogenital tract and Gi tract.
Dysautonomia may be present from birth, can present later in life, start with the presence of autoimmune disorders, from long term alcohol abuse and so much more.
Symptoms can present with low Blood pressure, POTS syndrome, blurred vision, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, impotence.
In craniosacral therapy we work with getting the central nervous system back on track. Get the on and off switch of the sympathetic and parasympathetic system to find its balance again. By connecting with the Cerebrospinal fluid rhythm and flow, it promotes vitality in the system. Cerebrospinal fluid brings nutrients to the nerves and flushes away toxins from the brain and spinal cord. A good functioning central nervous system is paramount to good health.
